62. Cold Light of Day by Toni Anderson (WW/WM, RS, scientist/FBI agent). Desperate to clear her father’s name, Scarlett risks it all to bug the Russian embassy and is quickly over her head. I really liked Matt & his reluctance to help Scarlett. CWs: murder,betrayal, kidnapping, SA, blackmail.

    I neeed a break from violent MCs & dark backstories in the a realistic world…so instead I listened and read to the super violent adventures of super-powered/magical MCs

The serial killer who killed her family escapes prison & stalks her & others who sent him to prison. Really good action/stress/twist.

68. Liar’s Point by Laura Griffin (RS, WW/WM, small-town cops, pining). Nicole & Emmett, co-workers long ignoring their mutual attraction but when they both have close calls while tracking a killer they final admit their feeling. Felt incomplete.

69. Cold Secrets by Toni Anderson ( RS, AW/WM, FBI agents). Ashley’s past is dark & she’s been running from her family’s crimes most her life, but something about Lucas tempts her to stop running. CWs: racism, SA, people trafficking, Child SA, murder, torture, toxic criminal family.

70. Cold Malice by Toni Anderson ( RS, WW/WM, FBI/survivor of hate group) Oof this hero does not grovel nearly enough for the trauma & suspicion he put the heroine through. Tess is way too forgiving!
